There are two ways to publish the dictionary:

  • directly in Lexonomy in the Lexonomy viewer
  • outside Lexonomy on a dedicated website, app, in print or by integrating it with other software. This option requires exporting the data from Lexonomy

In Lexonomy

Publishing a dictionary in Lexonomy requires a simple action: the dictionary has to be made public in the dictionary configuration. The dictionary will appear among public dictionaries on www.lexonomy.eu A dedicated access link can also be set up in configuration. The dictionary will be accessible to all visitors to the site, including those that do not have a Lexonomy account. The users will not be able to download the dictionary, only view it. The viewer is responsive – adjusts the layout depending on the device. The dictionary will be displayed with the styling set up in the dictionary view configuration.

Outside Lexonomy

This option involves downloading the raw dictionary data in the NVH or XML formats. The styling (fonts, sizes, colours etc.) will not be exported. The styling and layout will be controlled by the presentation environment – the website, app, or the software into which the dictionary will be integrated.
